Go Red — for your heart, your health, your
life.

Cardiovascular disease claims more women's
lives than the next seven causes of death combined — about
500,000 women's lives a year.
We're doing something about it! The
American Heart Association has launched
Go Red For Women, a nationwide campaign to raise
awareness that heart disease is women's No. 1 killer. Red is
a symbol for women and heart disease. But red is more than a
color; it's the power of women — like you — investing in
their heart health.
Cardiovascular disease is mostly
preventable, so understanding these serious health threats
can make a lifesaving difference. Much more research needs
to be done on heart disease in women. But there's valuable
information available to you now. It's also available for
men and children. So be empowered — educate yourself and
your family.
Macy's and Pfizer are proud national
sponsors of the American Heart Association’s Go Red For
Women campaign. In addition, the campaign is brought to you
in part by educational grants from the PacifiCare Foundation
and Bayer Aspirin.
Choose To Move Choose To Move is a free
physical activity program for women that's sponsored by The
Almond Board of California. This program shows women how to
"choose to move" by exercising regularly, eating
healthfully, loving their body, selecting nutritious foods
and taking time for themselves. Over the course of the
12-week program, participants will learn how to change their
behaviors to incorporate these healthy habits into their
lives.
